As a student of the media, I am often dismayed at how easily we let the power of the press slip through our hands.  Clearly one of the strongest weapons the people have in maintaining the delicate balance of power, I wrote this essay after watching 15 hours of mainstream news.  Try as I might, I could not find the upside or for that matter, the truth.
